New receiving units mean that scientists can get a general overview of the data they are receiving and get an idea of what they’re dealing with early on.

The field of technology surrounding geological surveys and other types of data collection is expanding at a fevered pace. While this technology has developed very quickly, collegiate and private science divisions have not kept up as fast.
